STANDARD calibration; from the fully closed position
(clockwise) unscrew:
compression: 2.5 turns from fully closed;
rebound: 12 clicks from fully closed;
spring preload: 0.67 in (17 mm).
Attention
The shock absorber is filled with gas under
pressure and may cause severe damage if taken apart
by someone who is unskilled.
If you intend to transport a passenger and baggage,
preload the shock absorber spring to the maximum
to improve the dynamic performance of the
motorcycle and to avoid possible interference with
ground. You may find that rebound damping needs
adjusting as well.
The table in the next page shows the recommended
settings according to the use, experience and needs
of the rider.
