z Tips
• When focusing, the minimum distance required
between the camcorder and the subject is about
1 cm (about 13/32 in.) for wide angle and about
1 meter (about 39 3/8 in.) for telephoto.
• The focus may not be adjusted at certain zoom
positions if the subject is within 1 meter (about
39 3/8 in.) from your camcorder.
• Be sure to keep your finger on the power zoom
lever C. If you move your finger off the power
zoom lever C, the operation sound of the
power zoom lever may also be recorded.
Adjusting the zoom with the handle
zoom
Press the handle zoom lever A to zoom in
or out.
z Tip
You can turn the handle zoom function on/off,
and change the zoom operation speed ([HANDLE

Adjusting the zoom with the zoom
ring
You can zoom at the desired speed by
turning the zoom ring B. Fine adjustment
is also possible.
b Note
• Turn the zoom ring B at a moderate speed. If
you turn it too fast, the zoom may lag behind the
zoom ring rotation, or the operation sound of the
zoom may also be recorded.
