3 Safety instructions

Observe the following before start-up
Read the manual carefully. It contains important information for the installation, use and
safety of the equipment.
Special references
Three kinds of special references are used in the manual in order to emphasize
important information:
WARNING
In the sense of this manual it means that death, serious bodily injury or substantial
damage to property can occur if the appropriate precautionary measures are not taken.
CAUTION
In the sense of this manual it means that minor bodily injury or property damage can
occur if the appropriate precautionary measures are not taken.
NOTE
In the sense of this manual this indicates important information about the product or the
respective part of the manual to which particular attention is to be paid.

General safety notices

WARNING
Only qualified personnel are allowed to work on or near this equipment. The personnel
must be thoroughly familiar with all warnings and maintenance procedures in accordance
with these operating instructions.
Qualified personnel in the sense of these operating instructions or warnings are persons
who are familiar with the installation, assembly, initial start-up and operation of the
product and have the corresponding qualifications as a result of their occupation, e.g.:
- training, instruction and/or authorization to switch on and off electric circuits and
equipment / systems in accordance with the standards of safety engineering.
– training or instruction in the care and use of appropriate safety equipment, in
accordance with the standards of safety engineering
– training in first aid.
The failure free and safe operation of this equipment assumes appropriate transport,
professional storage, installation and assembly as well as careful operation and
maintenance.
All electrical connections are to be checked for secure contact prior to start-up.
Before working on the door drive, power is to be removed by removing the power supply
plug from the mains.
