12.2 The emergency power module

The emergency power module is attached between the transformer and voltage input of
the controller AT18 (plug connector X3) (see photo 8).
This module provides the change-over of the transformer voltage supply to 24V
emergency power (rechargeable battery) during a mains voltage failure.
With the change-over the controller receives the command (plug connector X5) to reduce
the speed of the door to the initial speed so that attached rechargeable battery will not be
too heavily drained.
