6.13 Emergency power supply (option)
In case of a failure of the mains voltage a battery or a rechargeable battery (e.g. lead gel
rechargeable battery) can be attached to the external emergency power module (option)
and thus makes possible emergency operation.
The door can be opened and closed in this condition; the light barrier input is interpreted.
The movement is thereby limited to a reduced speed (slowendspeedcls or
slowstartspeedop).
When the mains voltage is again present, the controller switches back automatically at
the door end position (OPEN or CLOSE) into normal operation.
CAUTION
The fuse for the emergency power supply, which is installed by the customer, must be a
6 A slow acting fuse.
6.14 Overload protection
If the drive motor is heavily loaded by frequent short DOOR OPEN and DOOR CLOSE
commands quickly following one another, then an automatic extension of the door open
time occurs. The next closing cycle is delayed despite a possible DOOR CLOSE
command; the 7 segment display (H5000) shows "4".
This function prevents the motor from going into thermal overload.
