Closing force

The closing force can be adjusted between 70 and 230N. When 150N is exceeded a
warning appears on the LCD display of the terminal module (option).
The values mentioned refer to a door that opens to one side; a load cell will only indicate
the half value with central opening doors.
WARNING
During the setting of the closing force the possible effective closing weight must be
considered.
For 1kg of counterweight the desired closing force must be reduced by 10N.
This relates to:
Example:
Closing weight = 4 kg
Desired static force limit "CLOSE" = 150N
The counterweight of 4kg corresponds to a force of 40N. The force limit set must then
amount to 150N - 40N = 110N.
The factory setting is calculated in such a way as to take into account a counterweight of
6kg.
That means it that the resulting static closing force is limited to 90N.

6.10 Emergency rescue

WARNING
An emergency rescue can only be performed if:
– neither a DOOR OPEN nor a DOOR CLOSE command is active,
– the service buttons are not pressed,
– the user terminal or FrontEndPC is not in the menu option high-speed adjustment
or total adjustment (inclusive submenus) position,
– the door has stopped.
Only in these cases is the door drive free of torque. The force necessary to open the
door is below 300 N in accordance with TRA and EN81 requirements.

6.11 Nudging

No reverse is performed during a nudging operation. The DOOR CLOSE and NUDGE
command must be active at the same time. In the case of the recognition of an obstacle
the torque is reduced after 1 second to the limit retaining torque of the motor.

6.12 Light barrier

The input for the light barrier signal has the same function as the DOOR OPEN command.
Exception: The light barrier signal is ignored if the door is opened for less than 1 cm.
If no voltage is present at the light barrier input, this is interpreted as a light barrier
interruption.
The door cannot close.
An interrupted light barrier causes the door to open.
If at the same time a DOOR CLOSE command is active, the door moves toward "OPEN"
until the position of light ray interruption is reached.
