Switching Between Windows and
QuickPlay
Because QuickPlay is not a part of your Windows operating
system:

To switch the notebook from Windows to QuickPlay, you
must initiate Hibernation or shut down Windows, and then
open QuickPlay.
If you initiate Hibernation and then open QuickPlay, the
hibernation file is retained and can be restored after you
complete your QuickPlay session and turn off QuickPlay.

To switch the notebook from QuickPlay to Windows, you
must turn off QuickPlay and then start Windows.
Windows and QuickPlay procedures for turning the notebook on
and off and for controlling Standby and Hibernation are provided
in the
earlier in this chapter.
Hardware and Software Guide
In Windows XP Home, select Shut Down > Turn Off.
In Windows XP Professional, select Shut down from the
drop-down list, and then select OK.
Press and hold down the power button for at least
4 seconds.
Unplug the notebook from external power and remove
the battery pack. For battery pack removal instructions
see the "Replacing a Battery Pack"
chapter.
