DVD Mode

Playing a DVD

To play a DVD or video CD in QuickPlay:
■
A supported DVD or video CD must be in the optical drive.
■
The media tray on the optical drive must be closed.
– and –
■
The notebook must be in DVD mode.
Selecting a Supported Video Disc
The notebook supports the following types of video discs in
QuickPlay DVD mode:
■
DVD-Video (read-only DVD disc)
■
VCD (video CD)
■
SVCD (Super Video CD)
If the region setting on a supported DVD does not match the
region setting on your optical drive, a message about changing
the DVD region setting on your optical drive is displayed.
Instructions for changing the region setting on your optical drive
are provided in the
Chapter 5, "Multimedia."
