12.5.13 External Switch Hardware Type

External Switch Hardware Type is used to set up the MFC-101 according to the physical type of up to four optional External
Switches—whether MOMENTARY (aka "hold") or TOGGLE (aka "latching")—which may be connected at its 2 External Switch
jacks.
PARAMETER switches select between External Switch Number and External Switch HW Type parameters.

12.5.14 Expression Pedal Calibration

Expression Pedal Calibration is used to calibrate any of four optional expression pedals which may be connected at the
Expression Pedal jacks.
Use the PARAMETER footswitches to move between Expression Pedal Number, Calibrate Low, and Calibrate High
parameters.
Unlike other MFC-101 parameters, the two Calibrate settings on this page are NOT set using the INCR/DECR switches.
To calibrate the pedal, you must independently set MINIMUM and MAXIMUM values:
Place the display cursor in the "Min" field using the PARAMETER footswitches.

Press the ENTER footswitch. (Its LED will be flashing red)
3.
Move the pedal to its minimum (heel) position.
Press the ENTER footswitch again to store the value.
4.
To calibrate the maximum, move the cursor to "Max" and repeat the process above using the maximum (toe) pedal position.
Press EXIT to return to PERFORMANCE MODE.
