Overview of sensors

The sensors detect states and measurement values of the device. Both
mechanical switches and light barriers are used as sensors.
Function
Label monitoring,
recognises punch or end of
label
Material monitoring, stop at
end of material, protection
of the thermal head
Function as in transmitted-
light version; recognises
label using the reflex
principle
Monitoring of the ribbon
movement; halts the printer
if the ribbon roll stops
moving.
Halts the printer until the
dispensed label is taken.
All sensors can be functionally tested and, where applicable, set to a
particular value.
A parameter overview of the sensors is contained in the section "Info
printouts and parameters" (Parameter OTHR/SCHK).
A setting overview is contained in the section "Service / Printed circuit
boards" (CPU board).
The location of the sensors depends on the mechanical construction of the
device. More details on demounting / mounting are contained in the service
description of the corresponding printed circuit card.
Sensors in optional printed circuit cards are described in the manual for the
corresponding option.
