Upgrading from 8.0 to 11.8 dot
After exchange, the printhead has to be adjusted accurately. To reach an
optimal printing result, the exchange and especially the adjustment should
be carried out at least by a qualified service technician, better by the
manufacturer.

The tooth belt is the same for both printer types, 8.0 and 11.8 Dot, but it is
recommended to check, if the belt is worn out and to exchange it, if this is
the case.

Periphery set-up

If you are not sure whether a printer has been set up for peripheral devices,
perform the following test:
Set parameter SYSP/PEPH to KNIF
If the printer displays the status message ST68 after the ENTER key is
pressed, the peripheral board is not installed. If ST68 does not appear or if
a different status message is displayed, then the printer has been set up for
peripheral devices.
