Checking the system heat output

The system heat output check is performed by adjusting the heat output of the pellet burner.
CAUTION: if the type of fuel changes (for instance, by changing the category of pellets, the supplier, the
size, etc.), you will then need to adjust the heat output parameters and the burner operating mode.
6.5.

System shutdown

To shut down the system, PRESS key B on the control panel; the same one used to start the boiler. If the
system remains unused for a relatively short period of time, we recommend you clean the ash that has
deposited on the heating surfaces within easy reach of the heat exchanger, as well as the walls of the pellet
burner combustion chamber.
CAUTION: if the system is left unused for a long period of time, then you will need to perform thorough
cleaning of the heat exchanger of the hot water boiler to remove all the ash deposited. The ash deposited
on the metal surfaces has a corrosive effect on carbon steel surfaces, with the ensuing shorter life span of
the main modules of the system - heat exchanger of the boiler and burner. It is compuslory to have the
maintenance procedures performed, along with the preventive system checks, only by trained service staff,
as well as thorough cleaning at the end of every heating season. If these procedures are observed, the
system is sure to have a long life span, along with high efficiency and reliability.
6.6.

Emergency system shutdown

During the functioning of the system, emergency situations may arise and the component (i.e. the boiler and
pellet burner) will go into alarm/failure mode. Some situations are detected by the safety devices and by the
control panel of the process and the systems will automatically switch to preventive operating modes to
protect the boiler and the heating system. Once the cause of the alarm has been identified, take suitable
measures to return the system to normal operating conditions.
