Idling time before engine stop (diesel engine)
To prevent damage to the turbocharger, allow the engine to idle immediately
after high-speed driving or hill climbing.
Normal city driving
High-speed driving
Steep hill driving or continuous driving at 100
km/h (63 mph) or more (race track driving etc.)
Operating your vehicle in a foreign country
Comply with the relevant vehicle registration laws and confirm the availability
of the correct fuel. (P. 591)
CAUTION
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
When starting the vehicle (except vehicles with a manual transmission)
Vehicles with a Multidrive: Always keep your foot on the brake pedal while
stopped with the engine running. This prevents the vehicle from creeping.
Vehicles with a multi-mode manual transmission: Always keep your foot on
the brake pedal while stopped with the engine running. This prevents the
vehicle from moving unexpectedly.
