Using Your Computer on Your Desk
Using an External Keyboard
multimedia keyboard with stereo speakers and audio connectors
on the keyboard. For more information, contact your dealer.
You can only connect one PS/2 device at a time (unless you
purchase a special Y-cable to allow you to connect both
simultaneously). If you're already using a PS/2 mouse, you
must turn the computer off and remove the mouse before
connecting a PS/2 keyboard.
When you connect an external keyboard, you can use either the
external keyboard or the computer's internal keyboard.
Connecting the Keyboard
To connect an external keyboard, follow these steps:
1 Turn the computer off.
If you connect the keyboard while the computer is on, you
must reboot the computer to make it recognize the external
keyboard.
