Managing Your Compact Discs
There are three types of discs: compact discs that store data,
audio CDs and photo CDs. The system determines the type of
your disc and displays the appropriate icon in the upper right
corner. The previous illustration shows the Registration dialog
box for a data compact disc.
The options in the dialog box are different depending on the
type of disc.
2 Enter a title and version (data compact disc), artist (audio
CD) or date (photo CD).
3 Use the Category drop-down list box to enter a category.
To add a new category, click Add Category.
4 Type in any additional information in the Notes box.
5 Click:
None if you don't want the system to start a program auto-
matically when you insert the compact disc.
Windows 95 AutoPlay Script to run the associated
AutoPlay script file on the disc when you insert it. This
option is available only if the disc you are registering sup-
ports the Windows 95 AutoPlay script capability.
Default Media Player to start the default media player
(defined on the Media Players tab of the Registration
Options dialog box) each time you insert the disc. This
option lets you change or upgrade the media player for all
discs of a specific type, rather than change the AutoStart
settings for each individual disc. To define the player, see
"Customizing the Media Player" on page 191.
Command Line to start a specific program when you insert
the disc into the drive. Enter the exact command and work-
ing directory into the indicated boxes or use the Browse or
Applications buttons to locate the program.
