TUTIS Series DVR Chapter 3. Installation 3.1 Basic Installation 1. Connect the line level audio input devices to the DVR. 2. Connect the cameras to the DVR using the coaxial cables. 3. To manage the DVR over network, use a standard RJ-45 cable to connect the DVR to the network.

Use the supplied SATA cable, connect one end to the SATA port on the small PCB inside the DVR, and the other end to the SATA port on the HDD.

TUTIS Series DVR 3.3 Power On and Login After the above installation, you can power on the DVR. Simply plug one end of the Power Cord to the Power-In port on the rear panel of the DVR, and the other end to the power outlet.
TUTIS Series DVR Chapter OSD Menu Operation The DVR can be configured through a series of menus on the screen by using a Mouse, front panel buttons or the supplied IR Remote Control. The following operations are examples of using a Mouse.
TUTIS Series DVR 4.1 Main Menu On the OSD Root Menu, click Main Menu, the following configuration menu with 9 setup options appears. 4.1.1 Record The Record Menu includes 3 tabs: Basic, Advanced and Recording Schedule. Select a channel or all channels from the Channel drop-down list. 2. To apply a recording type (Off / Schedule / Alarm / Schedule & Alarm) to the time bar, check a desired recording type, move the mouse cursor on the desired time block and then click.

TUTIS Series DVR 4.1.2.4 PASSWD You can configure the alarm settings for the DVR when entering wrong password. 【Password Actions】 Alarm Out: Select an alarm output channel for outputting the signal. TUTIS Series DVR Click the button to bring up the following Privacy Zone setup menu. To set up the privacy masks: 1. Select a channel and select Enable from the Privacy Zone drop-down list, the Area Setup options appears. 2. Select the number of masks you want to block on the camera view by checking the Area 1 ~ 4 boxes.
TUTIS Series DVR 4.1.4 Network The DVR allows you to use a Web browser to remotely view and manage the system. You can also receive live video streaming from the DVR using your smartphone. Note: Since every Network Configuration is different, please check with your Network Administrator or ISP to see if your DVR should use specific IP address and/or port numbers.

TUTIS Series DVR 4.1.4.2 Advanced You can configure the Sub Stream settings in this menu. When the network is in low speed, the sub stream can reduce the image quality and frame rate to make the video transmission more smooth. 【Sub Stream】: Select On to enable the Sub Stream.

TUTIS Series DVR Note: We highly recommend that you use www.tutisddns.com for the simplicity of setting up your DVR. Go to http://www.tutisddns.com, enter a host name in the textbox, and then click the Check button. If the message shows “xxx is available”, you will be able to use this as the domain name of the DVR. Simply type http://xxx.tutisddns.com in the address field on a Web page, and you can remotely access the DVR. 【DNS】: Click to bring up the DNS Setup menu. DNS1 Setup: Click to bring up the on‐screen keyboard, and then set up the primary DNS server for your network. When DHCP is selected and in internet connection is available, this value will be assigned automatically. This field must be assigned correctly if you plan to use the DDNS feature. DNS2 Setup: Click to bring up the on‐screen keyboard, and then set up the secondary DNS server for your network. 【Mobile】: This port is used for mobile phone connection. The default Mobile Port is 6600. For Mobile Device Surveillance, please refer to Chapter 6, Mobile Device Surveillance. 【UPnP】 : When the UPnP on (the UPnP at the Router is also on). The host DVR will map the port to the router automatically. Note that if the router doesn’t support UPnP, please forward the ports from the port forwarding or virtual server. If the ports conflict with each other, please modify the ports on the DVR and restart it. 【PPPoE】: This is a DSL‐connection application (no router). The ISP will ask the user to input a username and password. Please contact your ISP for these details. The DVR provides one wired dial mode and two 3G dial modes (CDMA and WCDMA). If the 3G mode is connected, the IP address will be displayed in the WAN‐IP field (see 4.1.4.3 ViewNetInfo). ...

No configuration can be done here. 【LAN-IP】: Displays the IP address through the LAN. 【WAN-IP】: Displays the IP address through the 3G network. This IP address can be displayed if you enabled CDMA or WCDMA in the PPPoE field.

TUTIS Series DVR 4.1.6.2 Advanced Click on each field to bring up the on-screen keyboard for configuration. You can configure the language and scanning system (NTSC / PAL) in this menu. You can set up the Auto Lock to automatically lock the Main Menu in xxx seconds. To unlock, click Main Menu in the OSD Root Menu, the Login menu appears.
TUTIS Series DVR 4.1.6.4 Maintain This function is currently reserved. You can upgrade BIOS, System firmware or APP through the USB device; reset the DVR to factory default settings, delete system log or event log in this menu. For Default Setting, click the OK button to bring up the Reset To Factory menu, select the desired items and click the Apply button.

TUTIS Series DVR Cruise Set: After setting up the preset positions, you can configure a Cruise function for the PTZ camera to turn to multiple preset positions automatically. To set up the Cruise: 1. Check the Effective boxes to select the desired Preset Positions, and then set up the stay time (in second) for each Preset Position.
TUTIS Series DVR 4.3 Digital Zoom You can zoom in the camera in PIP (Picture-in-Picture) view and navigate the camera view by dragging the navigation box. This function can only functional in Single View. 1. On the OSD Root Menu, click Digital Zoom, the Zoom Mode displayed on the bottom of the screen.
TUTIS Series DVR Chapter TUTIS CMS The TUTIS CMS (Central Management Software) supports connection to multiple DVRs through Internet, not through the support of intermediate server. It is convenient for managing multiple DVRs through the network. Software installation: Double click to run CD file “TUTISCMS. msi”. After successful installation, double click desktop icon and run the software.
TUTIS Series DVR Chapter Mobile Device Surveillance You can receive live video streaming from the DVRs using an Android or Apple device. Android Device With TUTIS Remote, you can access the TUTIS DVRs from your Android devices to remotely watch live view, take snapshots, start / stop monitoring and control the connected PTZ cameras.

TUTIS Series DVR Remote Live View On the Remote Live View window, you can display live view, playback recordings, configure the DVR settings or control the connected PTZ cameras. You can also right-click a channel to start / stop monitoring, enable / disable the audio function or remotely record the videos to your computer.
