Connect the eraser to your computer
You can use the SDOCK1EU3P as a dock by simply connecting it to your computer.
1. Connect a USB 3.0 cable to your computer and the USB 3.0 port on the back of the
eraser.
2. Use the Power button on the back of the eraser to turn it on.
3. Place a drive in the drive bay. Make sure to push down on the drive to make sure
that it's secured in the eraser slot.
4. To select an erase mode, use the Menu navigation buttons on the front of the
eraser and select the HDD Link to PC option and press the OK button.
5. To disconnect the eraser from your computer, press the ESC button.
Note: Before you disconnect, you should safely remove the drive from the computer.
For more information about how to do this, see the documentation that came with
your operating system.
6. When Are you sure? appears on the LCD display, press the OK button.
Note: If you're swapping drives, it's recommended that you turn off the dock between
drive swaps.
