05 Density Unevenness Adj.

Adjust the density unevenness of printed images in crosswise direction to the paper feed direction.
Note
This operation is equivalent to selecting [Adjustment > 05 Density Unevenness Adj.] on the Machine
Status Screen.
0 The Automatic Gamma Adjustment (page 3-18, page 6-44) should be performed in advance.
0 This adjustment will be required afresh when the screen type selection has been changed. As the
density unevenness may vary according to machine conditions, occasionally check whether the current
adjustment value is appropriate or not.

Follow the procedure on page 5-3 to display the User Setting Menu Screen.

Touch [07 Image Quality Setting], and then [05 Density Unevenness Adj.].

Touch [COPY] tab.

Select the screen type to be adjusted (which shows the density unevenness), then press [Start].
The test patterns will be output.

Touch the [UTILITY] tab to return to the Density Unevenness Adjustment Setting Screen.

Touch the color (Y, M, C, K) and point (0 to 8) keys to be adjusted.

Use the touch panel keypad to enter the desired adjustment value, then touch [<<SET].
Available range: -32 to +31 (-: thin, +: deep)
– Touching [+]/[,] increases/decreases the adjustment value, and the control panel keypad can also
be used to enter the value.
– Touch [Y (or M/C/K) Clear] to clear all the adjustment values of that color.

Touch [Invalid] of the color to be adjusted to change it to [Effect].
