To create a unicast MAC FDB entry from DYNAMIC MAC
SEARCH LIST:
Used to create a static entry to the unicast MAC
address forwarding table (database).
create smac [mac <macaddress> port <port
no.> | idx <mac address index list on fdb>]
This command allows you to designate a range
of ports as being connected to multicast-enabled
routers. This will ensure that all packets with
such a router as its destination will reach the
multicast-enabled router − regardless of protocol,
etc.
mac <macaddress> - The MAC address that will
be added to the forwarding table.
port
<port
corresponding to the MAC destination address.
The Switch will always forward traffic to the
specified device through this port.
idx <mac address index list on fdb> - Added to
the forwarding table for fdb list.
