Font Description

1) Select character font
(a) Code: ESC x n
(b) Compatibility: EPSON LQ
(c) Function:
Selects the print quality mode to be used.
(d) Range:
• Range n = 01H, 31H, 81, B1H selects LQ character font.
Range n = 00H, 30H, 80H, B0H selects Utility character font.
(e) Out of range:
• This command will be ignored when the value n is not one of the values above.
(f) Additional details:
• LQ and UTILITY modes are printed in 10, 12, 15, 17.1, and 20 CPI.
• Proportional mode does not work in any mode but LQ.
• If Utility, DLL, or Proportional modes are selected the result will be LQ, proportional
printing, based on the Priority chart.
2) Select type styles
(a) Code: ESC k n
(b) Compatibility: EPSON LQ/IBM
(c) Function:
Upon receipt of this command the printer will select an LQ type style.
