DRIVING:

Towing
(boat, caravan,

Before setting off:

check the tyre pressures of the vehicle
and
the
trailer.

check the trailer
lights.
-
practise
manoeuvring,
especially
in
reverse.
- regularly grease the swivel
joint
of the
towbar, remove
it
when
the towing is finished.
• In
a
caravan,
distribute
the
load
inside
and
do
not
exceed
the
authorised
weight.
•
Always drive
at
a moderate
speed,
change
down
at
the
proper
time,
both when
driving
uphill
and
when
driving
downhill.
Pay
attention
to side
winds.
•
When
towing,
fuel consumption
increases.
•
Your braking distance
will
be increased. Brake progressively
and
gently.
Avoid
sudden
braking.
Do not exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle

The towbar

Use
accessories
approved
by

mobiles
