Changing
a wheel
Removing
a wheel
Park the vehicle
on
firm,
level
ground
if
possible.
Apply the
handbrake,
engage
first
gear
or
reverse
(P for
the automatic
gearbox).
The jack is designed to be
folded or
unfolded
rapidly by
hand.
Take the jack from
the
toolkit
and
close
it
by
pressing the
ends
A.
Position the rapid
extension
jack
at
one
of
the
four
locations
E on
the subframe.
Open
it
by pulling the ends
A
to
bring it into
contact
with
the
vehicle.
Detach
the
wheel trim using
the
tool

Slacken the
four wheel
bolts using the
wheel
brace
1,
remove
one top bolt
and fit the
cen-
tralising tool 2.
Extend the jack
4
using the wheelbrace
1
and
the
wheel
brace
extension 3.
Unscrew the bolts and change the
wheel.

Fitting a wheel
After putting the
wheel
in
place,
tighten the
bolts by
hand and
remove the centralising
tool.
Lower
the
jack and
remove
it.
Fully
tighten
the
wheel
bolts using the
wheel
brace.
Replace the
wheel
trim',
except
in the case
of
a temporary
wheel.
For your
safety,
have the tightness
of the
wheel
bolts
checked
by a
PEUGEOT
dealer.
As soon as possible, refit the
original
repaired
wheel.
Restore the tyre pressure (see page 105)
and
have the balancing
checked.
