Scanning a disc
Briefly
press button
SCN/RDM (22).
Each
track
on
the disc is
played
for ten
seconds.
Throughout
the
scanning
"sc
[track number]"
is
displayed.
Briefly
press
SCN/RDM (22)
to
interrupt
the
scan.
The
player
continues to
play
the
track
being
listened
to
at
the time this
button is
pressed.
Shuffle
Press the
SCN/RDM (22)
button
for
at least
two seconds.
A
bleep
confirms
the
selection.
The tracks
on
the disc are
played
in
random
order.
Play starts
with
the disc
being
listened to at
the time
when
this
function
is
selected.
The system plays
all
the tracks
on
one disc
and passes to the following disc. When the
last
disc in the cartridge has
been
played,
the
shuttle function
is
resumed
from
the
first
disc.
During random play the 8-character display
permanently
shows
"RD [track
number]
CD"
and the
pre-selection
number
indicates
the
number
of the disc
being
played.
[Track
number]
is
the
number
identifying the
posi-
tion
of
the
track
on
the disc.
Press
the
SCN/RDM (22)
button
for at
least
two seconds
to
interrupt
shuttle play.
Changing source during play
The
SRC (23)
button allows
the
source
to be
changed
without
the discs being
removed.
The
system
stores the
disc and the track
being
played
at
the time
the source
is
changed
(if
the cartridge has
not
already been
withdrawn).
The
next
time the
CD
player is
selected,
play
will
be resumed at the
previous place.
Removal of the discs
Removal of the cartridge
Open
the
sliding
panel P.
Press button E.
Play is immediately stopped. The cartridge is
removed from
the
player.
The source automatically
changes to radio.
Remove the
cartridge.
Removal of discs from the cartridge
Remove the
compact
discs,
one
after
the
other,
by pressing on the tab corresponding to
the position
of each
one.

General recommendations
on use
After
use,
close
the
panel
on
the
player
again
to
avoid
the
entry
of
dust,
fluids
or
grease.
Avoid discs which are too damaged
or
dis-
torted.
Follow the
usual
recommendations
for
main-
tenance,
cleaning
and storing
of
COs.
In
general these recommendations
are
made
at
the time of purchase of a
CD.
