Switching on/off
Press the
ON (7) button
to
switch
the
system
on
or off.
If
the ignition is not
switched
on, the
system
is
switched
off
automatically
after
an
hour.

the
next
source,
in
the following order:
- radio
- cassette player, only if a cassette has
been
inserted
"TAPE"
is displayed to
confirm that
the cas-
sette player
has
been
selected.

CD
player, only
if
the
player
contains
at
least
one disc.
"CD
CHANG" is displayed to
confirm
that
the
CD
player
has
been
selected.
Source
selection can
also be controlled via
the remote
control.
If a cassette is ejected
or
the magazine
is
removed
from
the
CD
player, the
system
automatically
reverts to radio mode.
Volume control
Press
button
"-"
(8)
one
or
more times to
lower
the volume
or
press button
"+"
(9)
to
increase the volume.
The volume will be the same for
all
three
sources
(radio,
cassette,
CD).
The volume
can also be
adjusted
via the
remote
control.
Tone setting (bass/treble)
The
two tone settings (bass
and
treble) relate
to the source
selected
when
the settings are
made. Therefore, the tone may be
set
differ-
ently depending
on the
source.
Bass
Press the
"BASITRE"
(11)
button.
"BASS"
is
displayed
followed by the current
setting
which
is shown in the
form
of a value
between - 9
and
+ 9.
Press
button "-"
(8)
one
or
more times
(within
5 seconds
of
pressing
button
(11)) to
lower
the bass
level or
press
button
"+" (9)
to
increase
it.
Wait
a few
seconds
until
the
"BASS"
message disappears
from
the
display,
the
"+"
and "-" buttons
will
return
to volume
adjust-
ment.
Treble
Press the
"BASITRE"
(11) button twice.
"TREB" is displayed
followed
by the current
setting
which
is shown in the
form
of a value
between
-9
and
+9.
Press
button "-" (8)
one or more times
(within
5 seconds
of
pressing
button
(11» to
lower
the treble
level
or press
button
"+"
(9)
to
increase
it.
Wait
a few
seconds
until
the
"TREB"
message disappears
from
the
display,
the
"+"
and
"-" buttons
will
return
to volume adjust-
ment.

Sound distribution
setting
The two sound
distribution
settings (balance
and
fader) are
common
to all three sources.
These
settings
are
stored
by the
system
when
it
is
switched
off
and
are automatically
resumed when
it
is
next
switched
on.

Press
the" BAUFAD"
(10) button.
"BAL"
will
be
displayed
followed
by
the
current
setting
which
is shown
in
the
form
of
two values
between
0 and 9.
Press buttons
"-" (8)
or "+"
(9)
one or more
times
(within
5 seconds
of
pressing
button
(10))
in order
to
adjust
the
distribution
between
the
left
and
right
speakers.
Wait
a few seconds
until
the
"BAL"
message
disappears
from
the
display,
the "+" and
"-"
buttons
will
return
to volume
adjustment.
Front/rear
distribution
(fader)
Press the
"BAUFAD"
(10)
button
twice.
"FAD"
will
be displayed
followed
by the
current
setting
which
is
shown
in the
form of
two values
between
0 and 9.
