Switching
on/off
Press the
ON
(8) button
to
switch
the
system
on
or
off.
If the
ignition
is
not switched
on,
the
system
is
switched off
automatically
after an
hour.
General controls
Selecting
the function
When
a
cassette
is
inserted
the radio is
auto-
matically
switched off and
the
cassette
begins
to
play.
The message
"TAPE"
confirms
that the
cassette player has
been
selected.
When a cassette is ejected the system
auto-
matically returns
to radio mode.
Source
selection
can also
be
controlled via
the
remote
control.
Cassette
play can
only be
selected
in
this way
if
there
is a cassette
in
the cassette player.
Volume control
Press
button "-"
(9)
one or
more
times
to
lower
the volume
or
press
button
"+" (10)
to
increase
the volume.
The
volume
will
be the same
for
both
the
radio
and
cassette.
The volume
can also
be
adjusted
via
the
remote
control.
Tone setting (bass/treble)
The two tone settings (bass
and
treble) relate
to the source
selected
when the settings are
made.
Therefore,
the tone
may
be
set
differ-
ently depending on the source.
Sound distribution
setting
The
two sound distribution
settings (balance
and fader) are common
to
both radio and
cas-
sette.
These
settings
are stored
by the
system when
it is switched off and are
auto-
matically resumed when it
is next switched
on.
Left/right
distribution
(balance)
Press the
"BAUFAD"
(11)
button.
"BAL"
will
be
displayed
followed
by the
current
setting
which
is
shown in
the
form of
two values
between
0
and
9.
Press buttons
"-"
(9)
or
"+"
(10)
one or more
times
(within 5
seconds of pressing
button
(11))
in
order
to
adjust
the
distribution
between
the
left
and right
speakers.
Wait
a
few seconds until
the "BAL"
message
disappears
from
the display, the
"+"
and
"-"
buttons
will
return
to volume
adjustment.
FronUrear
distribution
(fader)
Press the "BAUFAD"

twice.
"FAD"
will
be
displayed
followed
by
the

which
