Coded
anti-start

Operating mode
The
coded anti-start
system
can be pro-
grammed in
two
different
ways:
-
In
manual
mode,
the
system
is controlled by
entering your
confidential
code.
-
In
automatic mode,
the
system
is
controlled
by
the
remote
control
for
opening
the
doors.
Programming
the system
in auto-
matic mode
1 -
Switch on the
ignition.

-
Enter
your
confidential
code. The
green
light comes on.
3
- Within
ten seconds
enter the
sequence
C1
C.
Confirmation
is by
four
flashes of the
green light and four
bleeps.
Your
system
is now
in
automatic
mode.
Using the system in automatic
mode.
- Unlock
the
doors
using the
remote
control.
-
Switch
on
the ignition.
The
green
light
comes
on.
-
You can start
the
engine.
If the red light.remains
on,
carry
out
the pro-
cedure for recognition of the remote control
by the
keypad
(see
next page).
After
unlocking
the
doors
using
the
remote
control,
you have one minute and
thirty seconds
in which to start the engine.
If
you wait longer you will need
to:
-
enter
your confidential
code manually
or
- lock and then unlock
the vehicle
using
the remote control
or
- switch on the ignition and then press the
locking/unlocking
button
on the remote
control.
If the remote
control
does not
work
or
if
the
doors
were opened using
the
key,
enter your
confidential
code
manually.
Using the service mode
This procedure allows
you
to lend
your
car
or
leave
it at
a garage
without
having to
disclose
your
confidential
code.
This mode allows the coded anti-start function
to be used with a variable
code,
different from
your confidential code
(four digits).

on
the ignition.

Enter
your
confidential
code.

Within
ten
seconds
press the
following
buttons:
COC.
Confirmation
is by four
green
flashes
and
four bleeps.
Your
system
is now
in manual
mode.
Your
system must be
configured
in
manual
mode
to
permit
changing of the
confidential
code and setting to
service
mode.
Using the system in manual mode
1 -
Switch
on
the ignition. The
red
light comes
on.

-
Enter
your
confidential
code (the green
light
comes
on).
3 -
You
can
start the
engine.
The system must be in manual mode.

Switch
on
the ignition.

- Enter
your
confidential
code.

Within
ten
seconds of entering your
con-
fidential
code,
press
button
S.

-
Enter
the
four digit
service code which is
different
from
your confidential
code.

Press
button
S.
Six flashes
of
the
green
light
and six
bleeps
confirm
that
the
operation
has
been
recorded.
When
the
car
is
returned
to
you,
all
that is
required
to deactivate
the
coded anti-start
service
mode is
that you
enter
your confi-
dential code,
with
the
ignition
on. It is not nec-
essary to change the
code.
Recognition of service mode
This is by lighting
of
the red
light
and four
bleeps
when the
ignition
is switched
off.
