Scanning tracks
This function allows rapid listening to the start
of
each
track. This is also based on
search-
ing
for
blanks,
the effectiveness
of
this
func-
tion
requires the same criteria for the blanks
as the
search
function for
the
start of
tracks
(see previous paragraph).
Briefly
press the
SCN/RDM
button
(22).
The message
"SCAN>"
is displayed.
Each track
is played for
10
seconds,
starting
with the
track
after
the
current
one.
Briefly
press the
SCN/RDM
button to
inter-
rupt the
scanning.
Playing
resumes
with
the
track
being
scanned.
Ejecting a cassette
Press button

for
at
least
two seconds.
Cassette play
is
stopped
immediately and
the
cassette is ejected.
The
system
automatically
changes to radio
mode.
Changing source during play
The
SRC
button
(23)
allows a change
of
source without
ejection
of
the cassette.
This
function
is also available
using the
remote
control.
General recommendations
on use
- Use good quality cassettes
-
Avoid
using cassettes which are
longer than
90
minutes
-
Never
expose the
cassettes
to
heat
or
to
the direct rays
of
the
sun
-
Replace
the
cassettes
in their
case
after
use,
in order
to
protect
them
from
dust
and
to
prevent
the
tape
from
becoming
unwound
accidentally
-
Avoid leaving a cassette
in
the
player
when
it
is not being used
- After
prolonged use of the
of
the cassette
player,
treble
reproduction
may be
affected
due to
dirt
on the
head,
one
or
two tracks
may
even be completely
faulty.
To rectify
this,
use a cleaning
cassette
which
is
played
as
an
ordinary cassette
(approxi-
mately
every
50
hours)
