REMOVING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Stand the motorcycle on a level surface.
Securely support the motorcycle so that
there is no danger of it falling over.
NOTE:
Place the motorcycle on a suitable stand so
that the front wheel is elevated.
2. Loosen:
S upper bracket pinch bolt 1
S cap bolt 2
S lower bracket pinch bolt 3
Before loosening the upper and lower
bracket pinch bolts, support the front
fork leg.
3. Remove:
S front fork leg

DISASSEMBLING THE FRONT FORK LEGS

The following procedure applies to both of the
front fork legs.
1. Remove:
S dust seal 1
S oil seal clip 2
(with a flat-head screwdriver)
CAUTION:
Do not scratch the inner tube.
2. Remove:
S damper rod bolt
NOTE:
While holding the damper rod with the damp-
er rod holder 1 and T-handle 2 , loosen the
damper rod bolt.
