The following sequence of messages is typical of normal
operation.

The PPP connection could not be
established.
The PPP connection was estab-
lished successfully.
The PPP connection was termi-
nated. This will occur at the end of
a session, or an error condition.
Attempting to get the modem to
hang up.
There was no response from the
modem
The number dialed did not answer.
The time period (in the configura-
tion) to disconnect if the link is not
used is up.
The modem could not obtain a dial
tone.
The serial line speed is being set to
the speed set in the configuration.
