DIAGNOSTICS
4 - DISPLAY BAD TRACK TABLE: This option displays the
contents of the bad track table in a formatted manner. The
displayed information is:
1. The cylinder number of the bad track (cylinder 0 is the first
cylinder)
2. The head number of the bad track (head 0 is the first head)
3. The number of the first sector in the track that was found to
be bad during the testing. For manually entered bad tracks,
the sector is always 1 (sector
1
is the first sector of a track).
4.
The error code returned by the BIOS indicates why the sector
was bad. For manually entered bad tracks, the code will not
be displayed.
If there are no bad tracks in the table, the following message will
be displayed:
- NO BAD TRACKCS) PRESENT ON TABLE ­
- PRESS ENTER KEY TO CONTINUE ­
and the program returns to Main Menu.
