Setting the Limited Functions Mode from the Service Call
Message Screen
If a Service Call Message screen appears, even after you restart the machine,
there are some cases in which you can continue operating the machine. If the
screen in step 1 appears, turn the Limited Functions mode 'On' as a temporary
solution, until the problem is resolved.
IMPORTANT
If you turn OFF the main power switch when there is a job waiting to print, that job is
erased.
NOTE
If you set the Limited Functions mode to 'On' from the Service Call Message screen, the
Limited Functions mode in Common Settings (from the Additional Functions screen) is
also set to 'On'. (See "Limiting Functions," on p. 4-58.)

NOTE
When you contact your local authorized Canon dealer, have the following
information available:
- Product name
- Details of the malfunction
- The error code displayed on the touch panel display
Press [Limited Fnctns Mode].
