UX-A10DVD Preventing static electricity 1.Grounding to prevent damage by static electricity Electrostatic discharge (ESD), which occurs when static electricity stored in the body, fabric, etc. is discharged, can destroy the laser diode in the traverse unit (optical pickup). Take care to prevent this when performing repairs.
UX-A10DVD Disassembly method Metal cover <Main body> Removing the metal cover (See Fig.1~3) Remove the six screws A on the back of the body. Remove the screw B on each side of the body. Detach the rear side of the metal cover upward while pulling the lower sides outward.
