Step 7. Install the iLO MP blank (if not reinstalling the iLO MP card) on the chassis. This blank is used to
fill the holes left by the 10/100 management LAN, 15-pin VGA and 25-pin serial connectors. See
Figure 4-47 for more information.

Step 8. Push the iLO MP blank against the inside of the chassis and screw in the blank's mounting screw
on the external connector side of the server chassis.
Step 9. Replace the top metal cover and reconnect the power and external cables.
Replacing iLO MP Hardware
Step 1. Record the network settings from your iLO MP before beginning this task.
Step 2. Turn off the server, disconnect all power and external cables and remove the top metal cover.
Step 3. If you are installing a new card, remove the iLO MP blank.
Step 4. Unscrew the mounting screw for the iLO MP blank, located on the external connector side of the
server chassis.
Step 5. Remove the blank retaining tab out of its socket on the server chassis and remove the blank from
the server.
Step 6. Insert the iLO MP board in the server.
Step 7. Grasp its edges and place it on the two iLO MP posts.
Step 8. Push the 10/100 management LAN, 15-pin VGA and 25-pin serial connectors through their
openings on the back of the server
Step 9. Connect the iLO MP:
a. Connect the iLO MP cable to its connector on the system board.
b. Screw in the two mounting screws that connect the iLO MP to the internal chassis post.
