Cause
POP-Before-SMTP or SMTP
authorization failed.
Number of broadcast addresses
exceeded the limit for the SMTP
server.
The send buffer is full so the
transmission could not be completed.
Buffer is full due to using Scan-to-
Email while the buffer is being used
send mail at the same time.
Transmission was cancelled because
the detected size of the file was too
large.
Processing is interrupted because
the user pressed Stop.
Failed to create the MCS file
because:
• The number of files created with
other applications on the
Document Server has exceeded
the limit.
• HDD is full or not operating
correctly.
• Software error.
UFS file could not be created:
• Not enough space in UFS area to
handle both Scan-to-Email and
IFAX transmission.
• HDD full or not operating correctly.
• Software error.
Error detected with NFAX and send
was cancelled due to a software
error.
Neither the mail address of the
machine nor the mail address of the
network administrator is registered.
Due to an FCU mail job task error,
the send was cancelled:
• Address book was being edited
during creation of the notification
mail.
• Software error.

Action
POP-Before-SMTP:
• Check the IFAX user name
and password.
• Check that POP server is set
correctly.
• Check the SMTP server
settings.
SMTP Authorization:
• Check the SMTP server user
name and password.
• Check the encryption settings.
• Check the SMTP server
settings.
The maximum number of
addresses depends on the SMTP
server.
No action required. The
transmission will be recalled and
sent as soon as buffer space is
available.
• Divide the original into sections
and send as separate files.
• Use G3 to send the original.
• Reduce the TX mail size.
No action required.
• Delete unneeded files from the
Document Server.
• Initialize the HDD.
• If initialization fails to correct
the problem, replace the HDD.
• Update the software.
No action required. Once the job
currently using the UFS area is
finished sufficient space will
become available. If this does not
solve the problem:
• Initialize the HDD.
• If initialization fails to correct
the problem, replace the HDD.
• Update the software.
Update the software.
Contact the network
administrator. Check that these e-
mail addresses are registered
correctly.
No action required. If the problem
persists, update the firmware.
