Be careful not to damage the fork stem
when placing it in a vice, in horizontal
position, using the appropriate protec-
tions.
Specific tooling
AP8140149 Protection for fitting operations
•
Unscrew and remove the bottom screw
and collect the special washer.
•
Slide off the pumping member together
with the spring.
•
Remove the dust guard using a screw-
driver as a lever.
