When you go off-hook to make a call the idle display changes:

Rdial
Alpha/NoAlph
Sbjct

Placing a call

You can make calls with your i2002 Internet Telephone in any of the following
ways:
To make a call with
the...
Handsfree button
Line button
>
VMail Rdial
To ...
Dial your voice mailbox (if configured).
Dial the last number you called.
Activate alphanumeric dialpad characters.
To select a call subject to add to you call.
Note: The Rdial softkey does not appear on the display until after you
have made your first call.
Do this...
Press the Handsfree button to go off-hook on the
primary line (the green line button) and produce a
dial tone.
Press any available line button to produce a dial
tone. An available line has a user name label next to
it.
