Entering an address

To make a call you can dial a number (numeric address such as, 555-1212) or an
alphanumeric SIP address (jdoe2@domain.com).
To enter an address using the dialpad

Dial the number using the dialpad. When dialing, the left navigation button
acts as a backspace button.

When you finish dialing the number, the phone automatically places the call if
nothing has been entered for a short time. You can expedite the dialing by
pressing the Send softkey.
To enter an address using alphanumeric dialing

Once off-hook, press the Alpha softkey to begin dialing.

After entering the name or word, press the Send softkey, or wait for the phone
to place the call.

(the green line button) and produce a dial tone.
