Receiving faxes manually

Incoming fax transmissions will not be automatically accepted.
Activating manual reception mode.

Press the [AUTO/TAD/MAN] key
repeatedly until E-MODE = MAN
appears in the display.
The manual fax receiving mode is
now activated.
Is the incoming call a voice call?
Pick up the handset and answer the call. If the caller wants to immediately
send you a fax, press the [START] key to receive the fax transmission.
The caller can start the fax transmission when the signal from your fax
machine can be heard.
Is the incoming call an automatic fax transmission?
You will hear a fax machine signal. The Minoltafax 1100 will recognise the
incoming signal and automatically start receiving the fax transmission.
If software switch 54 has been set at 00 (OFF), your fax machine will not
start automatically. The fax transmission must be manually started via the
[START] key. The default setting of software switch 54 is 01 (ON).

software switches.
