8. Diagnostics

This chapter explains how to perform simple diagnostic functions such as checking the
software version, the supply quality, printing test labels, and using password protection.

Factory Set Password

You need a password to access diagnostic functions. Press Feed / Cut three times and
then press Enter / Pause.

Checking the Software Version

From the Diagnostics Menu, press
Press Enter / Pause. You will see
Line one lists the printer model number (M9850) and line two gives the version of software
in the printer.

Printing a Test Label

NOTE: DO NOT PRINT A TEST LABEL ON A 612 PRINTER.
