Adding a DNS Server Name

Do I need to add a DNS server name?
Typically you should not need to enter a DNS server name as it is
assigned automatically when your connection is established.
However, your ISP may instruct you to enter an IP address for a
DNS server name. To do this, follow the instructions below:
1
Check the box Use the Following Static DNS IP Address.
2
In the Primary DNS Server and Secondary DNS Server text
boxes, enter the IP addresses of the DNS servers that your ISP
instructed you to enter.
3
Click Save/Reboot.

Using the ADSL Settings

Do I need to change my ADSL settings?
Typically you should not change your ADSL settings unless you are
instructed to do so by your service provider. Or, if you are having
problems establishing a physical layer connection, you may want to
change a couple of the settings on the DSL page.
The number of routers that the data
packets go through (optional). When
adding a static route, if you know how
many "hops" or "routers" a packet must
go through to reach the destination
network, then you can add it. This is
usually not a mandatory requirement.
