List of functions on the Settings screen

Following functions are displayed on the Scan Settings, Original Settings and Communication Settings
screens.

Description
[Original type], [Simplex/Duplex], [Resolution], [Density], [Sepa-
rate Scan] are set. →page 2-14, page 2-10
Specify to send faxes in color. →page 2-12
Color
[Background Removal]
Adjusts the density of background color of the document.
→page 6-5
Emphasizes the character edges. →page 6-7
[Sharpness]
[Frame Erase]
Erases the black shadow on Top, Bottom, Right, and Left of orig-
inal when a booklet is scanned. →page 6-9
[Book Copy]
When book or catalog is scanned, it scans a spread as separate
left and right pages and faxes 1 page at a time. →page 6-12
[Scan Size]
Sends the fax after specifying the scan size. This is useful when
you want to fax only a portion of the original. →page 6-16
[Annotation]
The original can be saved in the box with date/time and filing
number at the same time as the transmission of the Fax.
Date/Time and Filing number are added to the document re-
ceived by the recipient.

[Stamp/Composition]
The scanned date and time, page number and fixed sentences
are affixed to all the pages of the scanned original and the Fax is
sent.
For details, refer to the User's Guide [Network Scanner Opera-
tions].
[Send & Print]
It is a function to copy at the same time as Fax transmission.

A stamp can be affixed on the scanned document. →page 6-20
[TX Stamp]
Function to specify the filename of the scanned data at the time of Internet Fax transmission.

Note
You can only send faxes in color when using the IP address
fax function.
