To send a fax 2.15 Memory transmission and quick memory transmission There are two ways of sending originals using this machine: quick memory transmission and memory transmission. Memory transmission In this method, a whole original is scanned in advance, stored in the memory, and then the fax is transmitted. The total number of pages is attached automatically to the page numbering in the transmission source information, and an image of the first page of the sent original is included in the TX Result Report.

Appendix Appendix 12.1 About the original number stored in the memory A standard hard disk of 60 GB is installed in this machine and the fax image is saved in 31 GB area in this hard disk. Approximately 10000 pages of originals of standard size paper (A4/Letter with approximately 700 characters), saved/received from each function (copy, print, scan, box, fax) can be stored in the hard disk.

Appendix 12.2 Entering text The following procedure describes how to use the keyboard that appears in the touch panel for typing in the names of registered users and custom paper sizes. The keypad can also be used to type in numbers. Any of the following keyboards may appear.

Appendix Touching [Shift] switches the keyboard display between lowercase letters (numbers) and uppercase letters (symbols). Enlarging the keyboard The keyboard can be displayed larger so that it easier to read. While the keyboard is displayed, touch [Enlarge ON]. The keyboard is displayed enlarged. To cancel the enlarged display and return the keyboard to its normal size, touch [Enlarge OFF] while the keyboard is displayed enlarged.

Some default settings can be changed from the Utility mode. It is convenient when frequently used value is set as default settings depending on the usage conditions.
