Z Zooming the image
You can zoom with the zoom ring during recording. Adjust
the focus again after zooming.
Turn the zoom dial to zoom in or out
on an image.

With Dual Image Stabilizer function set to off:
approx. 28 mm to 400 mm
Max. zoom scale: 14.3×
• Focal range
Wide-angle: approx. 50 cm (1.6 ft.) to infinity
Telephoto: approx. 2.5 m (8.2 ft.) to infinity

• Quality selection method: % (640 × 480 pixels)

• Frame rate (➝p.170): 30 frames per second (fixed)
MEMO
• The brightness and color of the screen shown during
movie recording may differ from those shown before
recording begins.
• The exposure and white balance will be automatically
adjusted to the scene being shot even after recording
has started.
• If recording is stopped immediately after it begins,
1 second of the movie is recorded onto the Memory
Card or internal memory.
CAUTION
• Because a movie is recorded onto the Memory Card or
internal memory as it is saved, it cannot be recorded
correctly if the camera suddenly loses power (if the
battery run out or the AC power adapter is
disconnected).
• A movie file taken by FinePix S100FS may not be
playable on other cameras.
• [
EVF/LCD MODE] in the [SET-UP] menu is
automatically set to [30 fps] (➝p.170).
• Because sound is recorded concurrently with the
images, make sure that you do not cover the
microphone with a finger, etc. (➝p.11).
• Camera operation noises may be recorded during
movie shooting.
• The size of a movie file can be up to 2 GB.
