4. Slide the width guides inward
until they rest lightly against the
edge of the paper
stack.

6. Set the paper size and type
according to the message dis-
played on the control panel.
Notes:
Do not apply excessive force to
the Cover D when you open or
close it; doing so may damage the
machine.
Do not load paper past the maxi-
mum fill line or maximum allowed
capacity
Set the paper guides to the cor-
rect paper width. If the paper
guides are not in place, the paper
will not be properly fed and this
may cause paper jams.
When you print on paper fed from
the paper tray, set the paper size
and type in the print driver.

Loading envelopes

Envelopes should be loaded in the
paper tray.
Load envelopes with the address
side facing up as shown in the dia-
gram below.
