6-6. Mainframe Tests
The system Mainframe Tests allow the testing of portions of the microprocessor board including the
system peripheral interfaces, the disk drives, and the color module.
The self-test software for the mainframe and each optional module is included on a composite disk
shipped with the mainframe.
Whenever the test system is loaded into memory, the normal system is
overwritten including all setups or acquired data for the optional modules. To
preserve that information, store it onto a disk before beginning any self-tests.
Accessing the Mainframe Test System
To access the Mainframe Tests, proceed as follows:
1. With the operating system disk in one of the disk drives, apply power to the instrument to obtain the
System Configuration menu. See figure 6-3.
