2. In the HP 1651B Format menu, assign the eight least significant bits of Pod 1 (pod 1.0 through
pod 1.7) to the "Data" label and assign the eight most significant bits of Pod 1 (pod 1.8 through
pod 1.15) to the "Addr" label. Assign the five least significant bits of Pod 2 (pod 2.0 through
pod 2.4) to the "Strobe" label. Select a K-falling edge clock (K ). Refer to figure 6-34.

3. Turn off the HP 16500A/16501A system, then remove the power cord from the mainframe and from
the expansion frame. Remove all option modules from the HP 16500A mainframe. Install a disk
containing the HP 16500A operating system in one of the disk drives and install a disk containing
the performance verification in the other disk drive.
4. Connect the HP 1651B pod 1 and pod 2 probe tip assemblies to three DIP clips as shown in
figure 6-35.
