TV + stereo audio system
You may want to hear the sound from your TV and/or VCR through
your home audio system. To do this, complete the necessary
connections shown on previous pages of this chapter and use the
following instructions.

To hook up an audio system, you
will need:
• One set of RCA pin audio cables.
procedure
O Connect the audio cables to the
AUDIO MONITOR OUTPUT terminals on the back of the TV.
Use the red cable to connect the right; (R) channel and the
white cable to connect the left; (L) channel.

Connect the other ends of these cables 1;othe AUX IN terminals
on the back of the audio system.
Turn off the television's speakers. To do this, press the AUDIO
function button on the remote contro| until you see the
SPEAKER display. Set the speakers to "Off' by pressing the
adjust (right!left) button. See "Adjusting the sound," in Chapter
3.
O Set the audio system's input to the AUK position.
_Import, ant: For proper tone and volume balance, you should turn off the TV's
speakers when using an external audio system.
