On-screen displays appear
each time you adjust a
fimction.
This is part of the normal
operation of the TV.
See "Understanding the On-
Screen Displays" in Chapter
4 for a full explanation of
the on-screen displays
There's no sound even
when the volume is turned
up.
• Check that the MUTE
button isn't on.
• The TV's "Listen to:" setting
may be set to "second audio
program" (S.A.P.).
• Check that "Speaker"
function is set to "On."

and functions" in Chapter 1,
which explains the location
and flmction of the MUTE
button.
See "Adjusting the sound" in
Chapter 3, which explains
how to adjust the "Listen
to:" setting.
• You forget the code you used
to set the parental lock.
• Use the alternate procedure
that doesn't require the use
of the code.

You can't program the TV to
turn on automatically.

rectangle on the screen.
The TV has been set to
"text" mode, but there is no
text information being

You cannot see a picture
when you play a tape in the
VCR.
If you connected your VCR
with A/V cables, use the
INPUT button to select the
input source (Input 1, 2, or
3) that the VCR is connected
to.
