Enclosure

There are four enclosures for each MSA storage array. The following installed hardware components
are included under the tree hierarchy for each enclosure:
disk adaptor (x2)
fan (x2)
hard disk (x12)
PSU (x2)
temperature (x4)

Possible hard disk states
AVAILABLE: Available for use (i.e. not currently used in a raid set)
FAILED: The disk is unusable and must be replaced. Reasons for this status include: excessive media
errors; SMART error; disk hardware failure; unsupported disk.
SPARE: Global spare or vdisk spare
LEFTOVER: Leftover
MISSING: disk is missing
UNKNOWN: default state if any of the above are not reported by the disk
OK: working as expected

RAID set

There are two RAIDsets for each enclosure. Each RAIDset has six Raid members; each has its own
entry under the RAIDset tree hierarchy.
Possible RAID states
CRIT: The raid set is online, however some disks are down and the disk is not fault-tolerant
FTDN: The raid set is online and fault-tolerant, however some of the disks are down
FTOL: The raid set is online and fault tolerant
OFFL: The raid set is offline because it using offline initialization, or because disks are down and
data may be lost
QTCR: The raid set is in a critical state and has been quarantined because some disks are missing
QTOF: The raid set is offline and has been quarantined because some disks are missing
UNKN: The raid set is shutdown (stopped)
UP: The raid set is online and does not have fault-tolerant attributes

Description
If a disk has been replaced with a disk that has been used in another enclosure, the
status of the replacement disk is LEFTOVER instead of OK. The disk cannot be used until
it has been cleared. Use this button to clear the disk. (If you attempt to use this button
with a clean disk, no action is taken.)
Use this button to turn the Beacon LED of the selected disk on. This makes it easier to
identify a failed or failing disk in an enclosure for replacement.
Use this button to turn the Beacon LED of the selected disk off.
