This chapter describes storage system sense byte information (error codes) contained in messages
that are output by Business Continuity Manager.

Details of Error Codes

This section lists the details on the storage system sense byte information (error codes) that are
output to messages. If an error code not listed in this table is output, contact service representative.
The legend is as follows:
CMD: Command device
PATH: Logical path
Output: Produces output
Not output: Produces no output

An BC Z copy pair cannot be made

or resynchronized. The reason might
be one of the following:
The BC Z copy pair status cannot
be changed because the P-VOL
has already been made into a
copy pair by using Cnt Ac-J Z.
An BC Z copy pair cannot be made.

The reason might be one of the
following:
The S-VOL has already been made
into a copy pair by using Cnt Ac-J
Z
The S-VOL is a journal volume.
An BC Z copy pair cannot be

resynchronized because the specified
volume is part of a Cnt Ac-S Z and
Cnt Ac-J Z common volume
configuration and neither the Cnt Ac-S
Z nor Cnt Ac-J Z copy pair are in the
suspend status.
A BC Z copy pair could not be made

because the status of the P-VOL for
the specified BC Z copy pair does not
meet all of the following conditions:
The S-VOL is part of a delta resync
pair
The delta resync pair is in the
HOLD status
A Cnt Ac-J Z copy pair that is
linked with the delta resync pair is
in the suspend status
